Starting the NVQ Level 6 in Health and Safety

  • To get started you will need to complete our registration form or please get in touch.
  • As a minimum, you will need a copy of your photo ID.
  • The NVQ can be started on any day and our assessors are able to complete your induction outside of normal working hours. Allowing you a large amount of flexibility.

  • Develop and implement the health and safety policy
  • Develop and implement effective communication systems for health and safety information
  • Develop and maintain individual and organisational competence in health and safety matters
  • Identify, assess and control health and safety risks
  • Develop and implement proactive monitoring systems for health and safety
  • Develop and implement reactive monitoring systems for health and safety
  • Develop and implement health and safety emergency response systems and procedures
  • Develop and implement health and safety review systems
  • Maintain knowledge of improvements to influence health and safety practice

During the NVQ

The NVQ is completed using our easy online portfolio system and you will need to complete the steps below. There are no exams, at all.

  1. A set of knowledge questions
  2. Gain a witness testimony from your line manager.
  3. Gather evidence of your work, For example, risk assessments, Safety
  4. Audits, COSHH Details, CPD records, meeting minutes and other documentation.
  5. Write 2 case studies about your day to day role and experience.
  6. Conduct a professional discussion with your assessor.

Completing the NVQ

This NVQ Level 6 in Health and Safety can be completed in 8 weeks as long as you are prepared to work with your assessor and gather the correct evidence.
Once completed you will receive your NVQ Diploma via email.

For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.

For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.

All you need to complete our e-learning courses is a computer, tablet or smartphone and an internet connection.

E-learning and Online (Instructor-led) training is more flexible, efficient, and cost-effective.

You will be provided with a username and password which will enable you to access the e-learning portal. Login to start your course, once you have completed and passed the course, you will be able to download and print your certificate straight away.
